...and I loved it.

(oh yay, more stamps from Leafeh, exciting right? Yes, it is. It's not like I'm capable of making real art)
Yep, I read Cupcakes.
To be completely honest I didn't find it that scary. I actually laughed at some parts. Maybe it's because I've read so many other worse ones (like Squidward's Suicide and Dead Bart) that stuff like that just doesn't faze me anymore. Or maybe I just have a sick sense of humor. Or both. I'm willing to bet both.

For those of you who don't know Cupcakes is a My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Creepypasta. I'm posting the summary from the Know Your Meme website because it's better then mine

"The story is centered around the two pony characters Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash, who decide to meet at Pinkie’s house to bake some cupcakes (in reference to Pinkie’s 'cupcake' song in an episode). Upon arriving at Pinkie’s, however, she realizes she will be part of the recipe, when Pinkie puts her to sleep and later wakes up in a basement tied to a stack of planks with a leather strap. The room shows lots of corpses and flesh from other ponies, and Pinkie wears a dress made out of skins, pegasus wings and cutie marks. Pinkie goes onto tell Dash that she needs more 'special ingredient' for her cupcakes, informing her that her 'number came up', and proceeds to cut her cutie mark and wings, followed by her internal organs and skull. Extremely painful for Dash, but a normal day for Pinkie. She constantly makes jokes as she dismembers her body, like how glad she was to finally have a friend helping her, yet disappointed about her reaction and lack of toughness in dealing with the situation."

You can also find links to the story here: [link]
That's where I got that picture of Pinkie as well. If the person who created that picture ever sees this and wants me to take it down I will gladly. But until then it's staying.

If you have read it do tell me if it didn't scare you. I kinda feel like the only one who wasn't scared because I've seen so many people talk about how it gave them nightmares and stuff.

EDIT: HOLY SHIZ 44 FAVORITES IN LESS THEN TWO DAYS!?
THAT'S FREAKIN' AWESOME!

EDIT 2: so...many favorites...every...frakking...day...

Okay, I just read it last night and I’ll give my opinion. Personally, I’m not really all that into gore stuff, at least while reading, so it probably had a bit more of an affect on me than others. I’ve read countless comments and reviews saying that it’s overrated, poorly written, and unscary, but I disagree. You have to remember, when it first came out, it was one of the first MLP horrors from the new show. At the time, it really was darker than anything else in that particular fandom. And maybe, it’s infamy helped inspire many of the darker and more disturbing fanfics that have come out since. It’s kind of like the original “Friday the 13th”. When it came out, it was criticized for supposedly over the top violence. But now it is severely out classed in gore and violence by countless movies that have come since. But both still deserve credit for helping to ignite some of those more violent ones. And sure, there’s way worse stuff on the internet and in other fandoms, but this is really specific to MLP. Actually knowing the characters, I thought it was a decently executed fanfic, and it succeeded in what it was trying to do. Is it the most disturbing thing ever? No, not by a long shot. But does is still succeed in being disturbing? For the most part, I think yes. A lot of the people who say they’ve read worse stuff and weren’t affected by it, well, maybe that’s partially your fault. It may not seem as bad in comparison to other stuff, but it is still torture and murder. No matter how you slice it, that is still pretty fucking bad. And again, at the time, no one had really done that with the supposedly cute and innocent MlP characters. It helped to pave the way for some of the darker fanfics, creating/exposing a market for them. Some people say it’s badly written, but I disagree. I actually thought that it was decently written. I mean sure, it could’ve had a little more time to breath, but I still found the torture scenes to be detailed and disturbing. Again, I’m sure there are worse out there, but I just don’t think it deserves the hate that people throw at it. Also, what I think works is the idea, that again, at the time was at least somewhat original, of seeing a darker side to these characters. Pinkie has been portrayed as completely insane so many times by now, but this was one of, if not the first, to do so. And what was really so memorable about it wasn’t that despite being a murderous psychopath, Pinkie was still being Pinkie. She was still random, still cracked jokes, still threw parties, just with a lot more murder. And I personally really like the concept. Overall, I think that it’s a pretty good darkfic. You just have to have the right mindset. Because remember, everyone has their own tastes and opinions. If you like really dark and scary stuff, then go find some of the much more disturbing stories that there. If you hate the idea of the characters and show being “corrupted”, then give it a ten mile radius. But if you want a quick read, something dark  and gory, but not too bad, then it’s a great choice. And yeah, it’s got psychotic killer party pony Pinkie Pie! Overall, it’s not the absolute worst, but it ultimately still deserves it’s reputation as a dark but classic fanfic that has had a big influence. Sorry for the long comment, I just had a lot on my mind.
